• De munt staat geheel in het teken van het 100-jarig jubileum van het Muntgebouw. De munt is ontworpen door Juan José Sánchez Castaño, modelleur bij de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt. In het ontwerp staat het contrast oud versus nieuw centraal. De architectonische schoonheid van het Muntgebouw versus innovatieve technieken.

• Eerste officiële munt met een QR-code, te scannen met de mobiele telefoon (voorzien van qr-reader)
